Fiona Stands

I caught Fiona standing up by herself (with the help of toys) for the first time on camera! :)

First Kids Meal

We ordered Fiona her first kids meal on the way to see Nicole in the hospital when she had Brayden. I think I was more excited than she was about the kids meal. I can't believe how quickly she is growing.

I do miss how small and new she was the first few weeks, but I don't miss the colic. She is so much more fun and enjoyable now. I love watching her play and discover new things. I enjoy and love her so much it brings tears to my eyes.

I am excited to share more firsts and watch her grow in all aspects. I am incredibly happy to have such a wonderful husband who is amazing and involved with Fiona. I love my family and wouldn't change a thing about us.

Fiona is sitting up like a pro now! She also is grabbing our fingers and pulling up. She wants to stand on her own so badly. Michael grabbed her hands and was walking her around the living room last night and she was actually taking steps with him!
She also is pushing up on her knees and hands and trying to crawl. I think we are going to have a fee more firsts here soon! :)

Painting

I went to the craft store and bought some canvas for Fiona to paint with acrylic paint. I set up a little work station for her on the back patio, and she had so much fun!

Check out that concentration!

I was tickled how much she enjoyed it.

I even decided to participate:

We both had so much fun! We went and bought more canvas yesterday for her to paint and give as gifts. Daddy gets to see his little artist at work this time. :)

Sitting up

We have been working with Fiona on sitting up on her own a little each day. She rolls over and expects you to pick her up. Yesterday, with a little help, she sat up on her own!

YouTube Video

The video isn't stable or very good so I am working on getting a better one. I am working with her today on getting better at doing it herself. I know she can do it, just lacks the desire and experience. :)

Today we are headed to the park to swing and get some pictures :)

Liquidation Store

We went to a local liquidation store this weekend and bought a few things that were a great deal. We knew you have to be careful when purchasing items there because they might be damaged or missing parts. It's the reason they are sold so cheap. Well we made a few purchases that we felt pretty confident and excited about.

We have been looking at spice racks and the one we want is quite expensive, so we figured we could settle for this smaller one for now since it is so cheap. We noticed it is missing a cap but still a great deal for 10 dollars and it comes with free spice refills for 3 years.

We think we can buy one of the spice containers with a lid to replace the missing one. It should satisfy us until we buy the larger spice rack we have our eyes on.

We bought Fiona an alphabet toy that teaches spelling, the alphabet, time, animals, and much more. We priced it new and realized it was a great deal at the liquidation store. We didn't glance it over much other than testing to make sure it worked. Once we got it home we noticed that it had two letter C's and missing D.

I think I am going to use a sharpie and make the one C a D because it says D when you press it. Michael said we should call the manufacturer and they may send us one to replace it. I am not too worried about it because it was a great deal and Fiona really enjoys playing with it.

The other item we bought is a car cover for one of Michaels vehicles. We haven't checked it out, but hopefully it is ok. Even with the quirks of everything we bought, I am still happy with all of our purchases and will continue to make more in the future. I think you can find a great deal, just be careful and understanding of what you're buying. :)
